1. Introduction

Welcome to the website of the Bassam Freiha Art Foundation (“the Foundation”, “we”, “our”). By accessing or using this website, purchasing tickets, or registering for any of our programs, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Please read them carefully before use. If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, you should not use this website or purchase tickets.

2. Use of the Website

The website is intended for informational and registration purposes only.

All intellectual property rights (including text, images, videos, logos, and designs) belong to the Foundation unless otherwise stated. These may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written consent.

You may not use this website for unlawful purposes, including attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the website or its servers.

The Foundation does not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

3. Events, Workshops & Ticketed Programs

The Foundation organizes cultural events, exhibitions, educational workshops, talks, and other public or private programs.

Some programs are free; others require paid registration or ticket purchase.

Ticketed entry requires a valid digital or physical ticket. Entry may be denied without one.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the terms outlined in this document.

4. Ticket Sales & Delivery

Purchase: Tickets must be purchased through official Foundation channels (website, authorized partners, or on-site at the Foundation). Tickets purchased through unauthorized third parties are invalid.

Delivery: Tickets will be delivered electronically via email. It is your responsibility to provide a valid and accessible email address at the time of booking.

Resale: Tickets may not be resold, duplicated, or transferred for commercial purposes. Unauthorized resale will render the ticket invalid and entry will be refused.

No Duplication: Each ticket is unique. Any attempt to duplicate or tamper with tickets will result in denial of entry without refund.

5. Payment Terms

Currency: All prices are listed in AED (unless otherwise stated) and may be subject to VAT in accordance with UAE law.

Payment Methods: Payment must be made using the methods provided at checkout (credit/debit card, bank transfer, or other approved payment gateways).

Payment Completion: Full payment is required at the time of booking. Orders without successful payment will not be confirmed.

Security: All online payments are processed via secure, encrypted systems. The Foundation is not responsible for failures of third-party payment gateways.

Confirmation: A booking is only confirmed once you receive a valid email confirmation and/or ticket.

6. Cancellations, Refunds & No-Show Policy

By Participants:

All ticket and registration payments are strictly non-refundable once confirmed.

Tickets cannot be exchanged for another date, time, or event, unless specifically allowed by the Foundation.

If you are unable to attend, your ticket will be forfeited, and no refund will be issued.

By the Foundation:

If an event or workshop is cancelled or rescheduled, participants will be notified promptly.

Ticket holders will be offered:

a full refund of the ticket price, or

the option to transfer the ticket to a rescheduled date or alternative program (subject to availability).

The Foundation is not liable for any additional costs incurred by participants (e.g., travel, accommodation).

Force Majeure:

The Foundation will not be held responsible for cancellations or changes due to events outside its control, including but not limited to extreme weather, government restrictions, public health emergencies, or technical failures. In such cases, the Foundation may reschedule or cancel events without liability beyond ticket refunds.

7. Attendance & Admission Rules

Ticket Validity: A valid ticket must be presented (digital or printed) for entry. The Foundation reserves the right to verify tickets and identification.

Late Arrival: Admission may not be guaranteed for latecomers. Entry after the event has started may be at the discretion of the Foundation.

Restricted Items: The Foundation reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone carrying prohibited items (weapons, illegal substances, etc.) or engaging in inappropriate behavior.

Children & Minors: Some events may have age restrictions. Children under a specified age may require adult supervision. These rules will be stated at the time of ticket purchase.

Behavior: Participants must conduct themselves respectfully toward staff, facilitators, and fellow attendees. Disruptive, abusive, or unlawful behavior may result in removal without refund.

8. Code of Conduct for Workshops & Programs

Participants must follow the instructions of facilitators and staff at all times.

Respectful interaction and participation are expected in all workshops.

The Foundation reserves the right to remove participants who disrupt the session or violate conduct rules. No refund will be issued in such cases.

9. Liability Disclaimer

Attendance at events and workshops is at your own risk.

The Foundation is not responsible for:

personal injury, illness, or accidents, unless directly caused by its negligence;
