This event has passed.

Description

Join us for Watercolor Journaling: Olives & Leaves, a beginner-friendly workshop that combines the beauty of botanical illustration with the calming practice of creative journaling. Inspired by the natural forms of olive branches and leaves, participants will learn fundamental watercolor techniques while creating their own botanical journal page. Designed as a gentle introduction to watercolor and daily art-making, the session encourages observation, creativity, and mindful expression. Each participant will receive a handmade watercolor notebook crafted from 100% cotton recycled paper, specially selected for watercolor journaling, allowing them to continue developing their personal art diary long after the workshop. Leave with new skills, a completed journal page, and the inspiration to turn everyday moments into a colourful creative practice.

Instructor

Flavia Morri

I’m Flavia, though many people call me Flay. I am an illustrator, watercolor artist, and author. Since childhood, drawing and painting have been my creative refuge. Although life took me down different paths, I moved to the UAE from Argentina in 2007 to work as cabin crew for Emirates, but at one point I felt the need to reconnect with what truly made me happy: art. I was naturally drawn to watercolor because of its softness, fluidity, and organic movement.
I love the meditative process of mixing water and pigments and allowing the paint to flow freely on paper. Today, watercolor has become a new way of “flying” for me, transforming nature, fashion, and everyday beauty into illustrations full of life. I work with brands, small businesses, and families creating custom illustrations, surface patterns, and visual pieces that tell stories. I also paint live illustrations for events and brand activations. Alongside my artistic practice, I offer creative workshops, online classes as a Skillshare teacher, and e-books for those who want to explore the world of art — creating spaces where people can slow down, experiment, and reconnect through art. I truly believe creativity lives within everyone, and I love helping others discover it.
