Floral Study: Oil Painting Workshop

Join us for a two-session oil painting workshop exploring the beauty and detail of floral art. Designed for adults with basic painting experience, the workshop will guide participants through the process of creating a floral painting from the initial composition to the final finishing touches.

 

Participants will learn essential oil painting techniques, including composition, colour mixing, layering, tonal balance, and creating depth and dimension.

 

Session One: Participants will study a floral reference, sketch their composition, block in the main colours and shapes, and begin building the first layers of their painting.

 

Session Two: Participants will refine their artwork by strengthening colour and depth, adding details, highlights, shadows, and final touches to complete their painting.

 

Please note: This is a two-session workshop, and attendance at both sessions is required. Participants registering for the first session must confirm their attendance for the second session. For health and safety reasons, this workshop is not suitable for individuals with allergies or sensitivities to oil paints, linseed oil, painting oils, solvents, or related materials.
