12 October @ 3:00 PM
Join us for a hands-on workshop exploring the art of monoprinting with Emirati artist Khalid Al Banna.
In this session, you will discover how to create unique, one-of-a-kind prints that combine the techniques of painting, drawing, and printing. Guided by Khalid Al Banna, you will experiment with color, texture, and form using Akua inks and simple tools, learning how to build expressive compositions through this versatile process. Each participant will leave with their own original monoprints, reflecting their personal style and creativity.
Khalid Al Banna is an Emirati artist whose work blends architectural precision with the emotive power of abstraction. With a background in architecture from Emirates University, he developed a distinct visual language that transforms geometric forms into dynamic compositions.
Inspired by both heritage and modernity, Al Banna’s practice explores themes of memory and transformation. His works shift from early black-and-white collages to vibrant fabric collages and colourful abstract paintings. Now based in the UAE, he continues to experiment with texture, shape, and colour, creating artworks that reflect cultural narratives while embracing contemporary abstraction.
