Join us for a conversation between Italian contemporary artist Lorenzo Quinn & Dr. Michaela Watrelot, curator at BFAF, discussing his artistic journey and creative vision, followed by an exclusive viewing of one of his outdoor sculptures “Love” at Bassam Freiha Art Foundation.

  • Lorenzo Quinn

    Lorenzo Quinn (b. 1966, Rome) is an internationally acclaimed Italian-American sculptor, celebrated for monumental public artworks that convey universal values of love, unity, and hope. Trained at the American Academy of Fine Arts in New York, he has created iconic works such as Support (Venice, 2017), Building Bridges (Venice, 2019), and Give(Florence, 2020), with recent projects including Paint Your Life (2024) and Anime di Venezia (2024).

  • Dr. Michaela Watrelot

    Dr. Michaela Watrelot is a curator, educator, and author with a PhD in History of Art from Charles University in Prague. At Bassam Freiha Art Foundation, she leads exhibition planning, education, and strategic partnerships. Her expertise spans 19th- and 20th-century art, public art commissions, and art market studies, and she is the author of Wilhelm von Bode and the American Art Market: The Rudolphe Kann Collection (Routledge, 2023)
