Set in a welcoming ambience of Bassam Freiha Art Foundation, the art curator Michaela Watrelot will introduce children to the world of art through captivating stories followed by hands-on creative activities with artist Emilie Dubois
Children will have the chance to unleash their creativity by painting their own papier-mâché animal to take home!

A Guatemalan artist based in the UAE, is the Art Educator and Curatorial Liaison at the Bassam Freiha Art Foundation in Abu Dhabi. Specializing in mixed media, she explores identity and cultural heritage while mentoring young talent. Through her role, Emilie inspires students to engage with art and fosters a creative, inclusive community at the foundation.
Dr. Michaela Watrelot is a curator, educator, and author with a PhD in History of Art from Charles University in Prague. At Bassam Freiha Art Foundation, she leads exhibition planning, education, and strategic partnerships. Her expertise spans 19th- and 20th-century art, public art commissions, and art market studies, and she is the author of Wilhelm von Bode and the American Art Market: The Rudolphe Kann Collection (Routledge, 2023)
