This event has passed.

Description

28th August @ 4:00 PM 6:30 PM

Join us for a meaningful and creative celebration of Emirati Women’s Day — Paper Embroidery Workshop with Emirati artist Nawal Ahmed, designed to honour women, culture, and heritage through the art of embroidery.

In this hands-on session, participants will learn three key paper embroidery stitches inspired by Emirati heritage. You will create your own embroidered bookmark on cardstock using coloured or metallic threads, and scent it with dried mashmoom, saffron, or rose to reflect your personal style and story. Guided by the artist, Nawal Ahmed, you will discover how embroidery can serve as a form of cultural storytelling, weaving personal memories with traditional techniques. This workshop is suitable for those seeking a creative, heritage-inspired experience — no prior embroidery experience required.
