Join us for a creative writing workshop led by Tarek El Kassouf for writers with some experience who want to take their skills to the next level. We’ll build on core techniques and explore fresh, art-inspired methods to bring creativity to your writing.
Through sensory exercises, you’ll learn to create rich descriptions inspired by the Foundation’s architecture and artworks, and dive into imaginative “What if?” scenarios to add depth to your storytelling.

Tarek Elkassouf is a Lebanese–Australian artist based in the UAE whose practice explores balance, transformation, and the unseen forces that shape human perception. His work often engages with the interplay between emptiness and fullness, silence and sound, translating these intangible concepts into sculptural form.
Elkassouf’s works have been commissioned and acquired by leading cultural institutions, including the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris, Ithra in Saudi Arabia, and the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU). His practice pushes the boundaries of sculpture, developing a visual language that conveys complex ideas through both material and immaterial forms.
