Letters to Art: In collaboration with Reads and Rendezvous
Description
Spend some time looking closely at an artwork or exhibition at Bassam Freiha Art Foundation, then respond to it in writing.
What caught your attention? Did the work bring up a question, memory, feeling, or imagined story? Your letter could be addressed to the artist, someone within the artwork, or even the artwork itself. It may be personal, observational, emotional, or poetic.
The session will begin with quiet observation, followed by guided writing time. Those who feel comfortable will also have the option to share their letters and discuss their responses with the group.
No previous writing experience is needed. You are welcome to bring a journal, notebook, or your preferred writing materials. Materials will also be available during the session.
