Paper Mâché Art
Description
This hands-on Paper Mâché Art workshop introduces participants to the basics of paper mâché, transforming recycled paper into handmade bowls or vases. Designed for children and young participants aged 4 to 17 years, the workshop guides them through exploring form, texture, and structure while learning how everyday materials can be reimagined into functional and decorative objects. Encouraging creativity through sustainability, the session offers an engaging and age-appropriate experience that combines artistic expression with environmentally conscious making.

Safia Al Jumaan
Safia Al Jumaan is a ceramist and art instructor with a Diploma in Art and Heritage Management. Inspired by nature, traditional architecture, and cultural heritage, her practice spans pottery, eco-printing, bas-relief, and experimental techniques such as kintsugi, collage, and papier-mâché.
She has led workshops with institutions including Bassam Freiha Art Foundation, Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, and NYU Abu Dhabi, and regularly participates in exhibitions, including her first group show at Paris Sorbonne University.
